Specification for FastOn and ring terminals?

Does anyone know of a mil spec, FAA standard or other specification that deals with the best practices when using ring terminals, faston and crimp splices like AMPs PIDG products. I called AMP and they didn?t have any ideas.

IPC-A-620

IPC-A-620 is an industry standard titled "Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies". Section 5.1 should answer your questions.
