Small Multichannel DVR Recorder?

Just in the process of running my wires and want to have a few tiny analog "drone" style cameras around the plane (possibly glassed into some of the fairings). Want to have about 4 feeds...

I don't really want a heavy shoe-box sized DVR that is typically used for CCTV, nor do I need a year of capacity...

Does anyone have experience with a small lightweight multichannel DVR that they would recommend for good old analog(not digital) video?

Alternatively, a compact device/board that would combine multiple analog feeds into a single tiled output would be even better(my small infotainment head unit has SINGLE channel dashcam recording ability)

Suggestions welcome

Small DVR

Check this DVR out, 2 channel. 12VDC , records using a high density SD memory card. Takes in analog video, HDR, has a real time clock. Can output NTSC or HDMI video real-time. A lot of configuration and set up options also.

I have been using 2 of these (1 in my RV8) to record my HUD camera video for about a year, work great. Very small about the size of a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5.

I can send some links for install pictures and recorded video if interested.

I would be interested in links for install pictures and recorded video.

More Small DVR info (part of my HUD project)

Here is my FlyOnSpeed.org website that discusses my RV8 HUD project of which the DVR is a small but important part.
https://www.flyonspeed.org/hud

Here is a little video of the DVR in action. While there is some definite camera vibration in parts of the video it’s not the DVR’s fault. DVR has a IR remote control I use during on ground configuration setup. Inflight DVR starts up automatically at power on. On the ground I use a little Video screen with a HDMI input for in-plane setup and testing (mostly for the camera configuration). Using it to record from a little camera with essentially a micro telephoto lens focused at infinity mounted on a HUD in a vibrating aircraft is a significant challenge with the camera configuration, not this DVR.
The White Date Time and N-Number text at the top of the video were part of the DVR optional Setup.

In this HUD brief there is a picture of the DVR install in my RV8

Thanks! That looks like a good option!

And regarding the option to consolidate to a single feed to my preexisting recorder, I finally had luck when I used "CCTV video quad splitter" in the search engine. Looks like weight varies between 0.5-2lb among various options. (will research all this a bit more before deciding what to do...)

Also been following some of your HUD work and appreciate you posting your document on pinout/custom cabling that tidied up the wiring significantly :)

Thanks for that! I was hoping for one capability or the other... and this appears to have both, AND in a nice form factor

You might want to ask the seller if it can record all 4 channels simultaneously. Just a thought and question I'd want answered before ordering. I should have mentioned that in my post.
