Small airfield NW Baltimore

I'm visiting friends who live in NW Baltimore and am looking for a smaller airport than Martin State and closer than 2W2 (Westminister-clearview Park).
Any help would be appreciated.

You don't really have that many choices other than W2W, DMW and MTN on the north side of Baltimore. MTN isn't all that bad to fly in and out of. It is a simple Class D airport. I have flown a lot in and out of there without any issues.

DMW

DMW will probably be your best bet. Nice airfield with gas at $4.25 self service. MTN is not all that bad but would be a pain to drive to and from and the gas is a lot more expensive. One positive thing for MTN is you never know if you'll be following in or taking off behind a flight of A-10's. They are based there for the MD ANG.

Harford County, OW3, about 20 miles north of Baltimore might fit your needs.
