Slider side skirt distortion due to dimpling?

I have my side skirts drilled and Clecoed to the frame. The gap between the skirts and the fuselage is sweet! I'm ready to dimple and, as we know, that process distorts the metal a bit. I've seen a write up where the builder ended up countersinking the skirt holes to avoid this distortion. Yea, the skin is thinner than recommended for countersinking but it is non structural. Of course you might have to deal with cracks in the future.

Is the distortion of the side skirts unacceptable after dimpling? If so, are there any tips as to how to minimize that?

Thanks!
