I have the kind that tries to remove your scalp whenever you are wearing a cap, and it's not in your peripheral vision, or you are leaning in to get something, or you are working on the panel, and reach forward, or you are breathing, or....
well, you get the idea.
imagine what that will do to your face in an accident.
put it in the panel, where you can ignore it like all the other dinosaurs that really never functioned in a useful way.
I think it's a falcon wet type. MCPN-2, panel mount 'style', but with a clamp to hang it from the bar in the most view-blocking, vibrating, jiggling, face-slicing manner.
Here's the SIRS Navigator on my -9A slider. I drilled and tapped holes in the diagonal brace to mount, and I've got the base resting on the padded glare shield edge cover.
