Slider 660 side skirt question

I have just started working on these side skirts. The front end of the skirts are narrowed at the bottom for a little over 8 inches. Is this narrowed edge suppose to line up with the top of the side skin? After raising my canopy frame to get the proper relation ship with the top of the roll bar I think the side skins need to be about 1/4 inch wider than the 4 9/16 piece provided. I am planning to make some wider ones unless someone points out something I missed.

Charles, did you get your side skirts installed? I think I need taller ones on my -7 slider for the same reason you described in your post. Did you have to make new ones?

Yes I made new skirts, I do not think the factory supplied ones wolud have worked out.
