Slick 4270 vs 4370

Does anyone know the difference between a Slick 4270 and 4370? I bought a slick 4370 on ebay but was sent the 4270.

Is the 4270 rebuildable?

It just says that the 4270 is "Inactive"

This link will let you download the Maintenance Manual for both the 4200 and 4300 series magnetos.
You could maybe see any differences from that...

The big question I have is if you can get them overhauled or buy an overhaul kit for the 4270 series. I didnt think you could.

The 4270 is rebuildable. I think you are thinking about the old 4000 series that were throw-away.

The 4200 is rebuildable. I think the housing is slightly different from the 4300 and less prone to main bearing failures. This information I read on a website somewhere so take it with a grain of salt.

Many parts are different in them but the main maintenance items are the same. Contacts, carbon button, etc...
