SL30 to GMA-340

Is is necessary to do anything with the SL30 mic ground?

The SL30 diagram it shows it, but the GMA-340 diagram just shows a shielded pair with one wire connected to COM 1 MIC and COM 1 KEY.
Now that these are both Garmin products, you think they would at least show the SL30 in the GMA-340 manual or vice versa.

Tie it to AUDIO LO

(COM 1 RETURN pin 10) at the audio panel.

I wasn't sure if MIC GROUND and AUDIO GROUND were internally connected in the SL30.
