Skin rivet question

While making my first match holes through the HS skin into HS-405, I found I was inadvertently using a #30 bit instead of a #40 for the first 6 holes before I caught my mistake. Is this a problem? Can I just use -4 rivets instead of the -3 rivets that are specified?

Yes. #30 dimple (skin & HS-405) on those holes. Don't carry on with the #30 in your #40 holes!

maybe you could use oops rivets, they will have a similar size manufactured head.

I did the same stupid mistake on my RV-10 HS (except all my holes were drilled to #30 brfore I realized the mistake. I just dimpled for -4 ordered and ordered the appropriate rivets. Live and learn.
