Fly-In Replaced with Major Food Truck Festival
To Our Thousands of Supporters:
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the Governor's executive orders, we have decided to sponsor an alternate activity this year. Our usual event is cancelled and will return in full in 2021.
In its place, we will offer a wonderful Food Truck Festival on four weekend days: August 15-16, and September 26-27 at Simsbury Airport. In addition, the September weekend days will include an informal Fly-In so you can watch airplanes arrive and depart while you enjoy our amazing Food Truck menus.
The Food Truck Festival (and Fly-In) will follow all Covid-19 safety regulations. Food service will be on a drive-by basis. You'll stay in your car to order from a menu, and receive delivery of your food items while remaining in the car. You may then either exit the airport, or park in a social-distanced area to enjoy your food next to your car on a blanket or folding chair.
Watch this space for further details. We'll be providing a description of our Food Trucks and their menus. Driving directions may be found here.
For more information, please contact Bill Thomas at [email protected].
Please join us on August 15-16 and September 26-27. It's a great way to get out of the house on a Fall day to enjoy some outstanding things to eat. And please stay safe.
