Sikaflex slider canopy, Los Angeles area?

I am about to start cutting my canopy pretty soon. I am going to attach the windshield and canopy with Sikaflex.

I am wondering if there is anyone of the greater Los Angeles area/Ventura county area, who has done this, who might be able to give me some useful hints and help?

I'm in Bakersfield and glued my slider on my 9A. I used this site as my guide primarily:
