Show me your Avionics bay

I am completely redoing my panel now and I’m looking for some ideas on how to clean up the avionics bay. I have the Dynon HDX 11 and bought the tray which really cleans things up a lot. Still have the Garmin 175 and 215 to mount up.

Thanks

Here's mine on my RV-3B project. As a special bonus, I've included the stuff mounted on the firewall's aft side and the ground forest on the cabin right side.

Not shown are the switches mounted under the avionics shelf. That blue thing is the Hall amperage sensor constrained with blue shrink tube and Ultra Blue sealant, which I used since it was a good color match.

Probably won't help. I didn't take any specific pix if it; only some "progress" pix for the log book.

IIRC. 1/8" angle crosses under panel. Shares mounting screws with lower panel-to-bulkhead screws.
0.063 angles run longitudinally from the aforementioned cross piece to the rudder-FW attached angles.

Not much panel space so the bay has remote xponder, remote audio panel, remote comm 2, two engine control units, the GAD ARINC converter, more. Many oriented vertical for space purposes. Side rant = three remote Garmin boxes (audio, comm, and xponder) all have different mounting footprints. Makes things more painful than need be.

You won’t need that iPad, Dynon will have all the info you’ll need readily available. Keep the iPad in a side pocket

RV-8 with aft battery and Hartzel BA prop. ELT and ADS-B receiver on the starboard, TXPDR and Com 1 TXR on the port, dual ADAHARS mounted above and aft.

Avionics shelf forward of instrument panel. I designed this layout before the Dynon "quick install" kits came out and didn't feel like changing everything.

Relatively easy to access because the trays for the navigator and audio panel are fixed to the shelf, rather than the center instrument panel.

I'm in the process of installing a new advanced panel in my RV-8. I'll by cutting a new tray and mounting brackets tomorrow on our waterjet. I got some ideas from this tray configuration by midwest panel builders.

This is the panel I'm working with.
