short engine controls

I just installed my throttle & mixture controls.

They seem a bit short. There's not enough slack to route them through the adel clamps on the bracket that hangs under the sub-panel.

The throttle (44.5") and the mixture (45") is what I have and is what is indicated in the drawing and inventory sheet.

Did I do something wrong here?

I guess I could use them as is.

Anybody else encounter this?

The engine is an o-320E2A.

yup....

thanks Reiley.

That's what I did alright.

One thing I've learned so far is build the thing according to the instructions.

Any deviation, no matter how small, has the potential to affect something else.

Oh well:(

Engine Controls

Depends on the type of engine also, Carburated or Fuel Injected. My set of controls was for the IO-320 Vertical induction Aerosport with Silverhawk injection system came out a bit short even with the proper distance for the panel mount plate. Van's nicely exchanged the mixture (47) and throttle (44.5) controls for my FP prop engine and the new ones are 50.5 mixture and 46.5 throttle. These work just fine.
