sensor connections

On a Rotax 912 , do we use spade connectors to slip over the end of the CHT/oil sensors ? Do we need to install some kind of protective boot after connection is made ?

I never installed any boots. After almost 850 hours and 7 years there have been no issues.

Thanks, I finally found a photo confirming the spade connection.

No boots - open connectors. At condition inspection I spray the connectors with contact cleaner/lubricant. Works good with no electrical problems - 400TT.
