This "tip" is more for those building instead of those already built.
When building the fuselage, more particularly the avionics bay area, I drill holes in the perimeter longerons, and add strips with holes in them wherever else I need them for future "tying off" wire bundles in the future.
If I am concerned about weakening the structure, I reinforce that area before drilling the holes. I have these holes sized for the smallest cable tie being considered - usually less than .110".
This little bit of effort on the front end, pays dividends years later when doing the wiring.
