Section/Page 17 Wing Skins Preparation

Hi,

Please can anyone advise me whether it is necessary/advisable to "break" the wing skins in the same was as the rear fuselage?

Thanks...Keith

As I recall

I don't recall it is necessary. They will tell you when they want you to do it. There is an area on the wing doubler that I recall they tell you to bend the edge, but that is it as I recall.

If after clecoing you see a gap then I would break it, but in the area you describe I don't believe it is needed.

I didn't have a problem. Joints were nice and tight after riveting, but as Larry suggested, check to see if there are any gaps after clecoing, then you can decide to break or not to break.
