Seat upholstery

Bought foam from Vans with patterns. Not much in the way of instructions. Anybody who did their own sewing have a detailed builders log?

Pilots seat cushion on wedge. Is this right?


And seat doesn't mate with back rest.


And not sure about Velcro or harness passages. I don't want to reinvent the wheel.

The rear seats in my -10 are similar (not sure how close they are since I haven't built an 8) (yet) and I did a write up about that here:

I still have the patterns I used - cut out on posterboard; what worked well for me was to try a couple of times with cheap vinyl from hobby lobby to get the material cut right, learn how to get the corners/seams cleaner, figure out what order to sew in and try a couple of different closure methods. I also decided to enclose the seat back under the material to have a place to add pockets to later (facing the baggae compartment). Not sure I'd do it exactly that way again, but it worked.
