sealing scat tube flanges

Nope. I figure the path of lease resistance for the air flow is definitely the way it's supposed to go and not under the flange. Although, the same thought did cross my mind. -Jim

I did

I sealed the flanges of the scat tubes on the baffles since it is possible not only to leak some air, but for the flange to bend over time between the corner rivets and get worse. Even though the big hole in the middle will take most of the air, since the baffled area is higher pressured, air will go through any hole to a place of lower pressure. Of course, there's no point in doing this if I don't go to a lot of trouble to seal all the other pesky little leaks in the baffled area. Doesn't seem to be as important in the tunnel areas, although won't hurt.
