SD-8 Wiring

For the SD-8 alternator, there' are two leads from the unit. Does it matter which goes to the regulator blue/black leads? I'm having trouble tracking down the tech data on the unit.

Shouldn't matter

Permanent magnet alternators are AC devices!

I stand corrected... yup, two blue leads. I really need to get some glasses!
