Evening all,

So the clan is departing Glasgow on the 4th October and launching to Vancouver via a few days in Iceland. Wondering if anyone needs a help riveting or a help pouring a beer whilst we are over :D.

We will be staying in

White Rock, BC 6/10-9/10
Parksville, Vancouver Island - 9/10- 13/10
SW Seattle 13/10-15/10

Currently building a 10, im an air traffic controller working at scottish who convinced the mrs it would be a good idea to build an aeroplane back in 2019. It would appear she still isnt convinced !!!!
Anyhow give us a bell if you are close and fancy a catch up with the crew.

Thanks
James and Kelly #

The Nanaimo Flying Club (https://www.nanaimoflyingclub.org/) is the closest and best bet for you when you're on Vancouver Island. They are a very active club, there are always people hanging around hangar flying in the clubhouse on the weekends. There are half a dozen RV's at Nanaimo, one of which is a -10. I'm not aware of any -10's under construction in the area though.

A short drive south would bring you to Duncan, where there is a much smaller strip, a local flying club (https://duncanflyingclub.com/), and a smaller number of more interesting airplanes at times. An RV or two, no -10's.

A short drive north would bring you to Qualicum, where there is an excellent on-airport restaurant. I recommend calling ahead and making a reservation, it's popular!
