Safety Latch. Can't fit the hook through the hole

Double check on page 45A-06 under Step 3.

"The "explosion" of Figure 3 shows the parts in their "as-assembled" orientation. To get
the parts together, the safety latch assembly must be inverted as the "hook" end is
inserted through the opening in the latch angle assembly then, when the thinner part
of the safety latch assembly is at the opening, it can be re-oriented right-side-up, the
spring put in place, then finally positioned such that the bolt, washers, and nut can be
installed. If the safety latch assembly cannot be re-oriented right-side-up due to
interference with the latch angle opening then the edges should be rounded as
necessary to allow rotation."

I didn't complete this section of the build due to the use of a cam style third latch. But I did build the assembly like you did and it did fit.
