RV Safety Program

For a year or so I have thought about an RV safety program. There are probably others that do this (Cirrus?). A core could be doing most of the AOPA online safety courses. That provides a fundamental of hazards and good things to know (mountain flying, weather, etc).

The big problem that I see relates to decision making. How you instill in people the ability to know that a course of action is potentially deadly and overcome the urge to continue? This may have already been resolved by Cirrus or other airplane group safety program.

This would probably require group discussions to help people recognize where things start to go bad and know when to turn around or never leave the ground.

Goal: 30% reduction in accidents and fatalities within five years. Ideally this may lead to an insurance reduction but I can't promise that.
