RV-8 pitot line problems

I had an error in speed indication in my RV-8 due to air leaks in the pitot line. I fixed it, but I used a plastic hose to join the aluminum tube to the instrument. The plastic hose have a larger diameter than the aluminum tube..can this cause reading errors due to changes in pressure in the line???

Nope

The pressure will be the same everywhere in the line (assuming no leaks).
