I'm looking for a VAF post I saw a few years ago, but have not been able to relocate since.
A gentleman on the forums had an impressive post about his RV-8 build. As I recall, his RV-4 was ground looped by another pilot leaving him with $40k in insurance money. limited to this budget he built an RV-8 keeping it as cheap as possible. If I remember right, he had a used O-360, FP wood prop, and single D-10 for avionics.
Does anyone know the guy? I would love to look at his build.
