RV-7A with no autopilot

Hi guys, thanks in advance for your expertise.

Looking at buying an RV-7A with no autopilot.

How hard to add one in a flying plane, and how much money for a good one?

I am guessing quite a few panels have to be removed.

A guess at to how much if I had an electronics shop install it?

Give me a call sometime. I can help you do this no problem. I do that type of stuff all the time. It isn't difficult to add, and certainly not a reason not to buy a plane if it doesn't have one.

Thanks Jesse. My understanding is removing an inspection port for the right wing to get to the bell crank, and removing the luggage area panel to access the elevator servo.

The Panels are Dynon Skyviews, so I would be going with their servos and setup. The hub is already installed. Dynon says $825 each for the recommended SV32 servos and mounts. So $1650 plus wiring etc, call it $2k max.

Two days work cover it?

The servos go in easily. The wiring is the hardest part, but it isn't that bad. Call me tomorrow and we can talk about it.
