RV-7 Tip Up to Slider during build

I purchased a RV-7 tip up kit and the fuselage is about 75% complete. The bracing for the back part of the canpopy is not installed, nor the top skin on the aft part of the fuselage. Would it be very hard at this point to change it over to a slider?

Look at what are called the "decks". They are thin sheet metal on top of the longerons. Basically in the spot that the rails for the sliding canopy would be. The long one and then the piece between it and the seat back cross frame is different from tip up to slider. They can certainly be changed, so the conversion can be done. Your description indicated to me that this may be the only defining part that is installed as of yet. There is no better time than now to change it. The further you go, the harder it will get.
