RV-7 Gear Width

I know the 3 view drawings show that the center to center width of the main gear on the RV-7A is 6'8". Is that with the engine installed?

Would anyone with a completed RV-7 be able to provide the outer width of the main gear on the RV-7A? I'm trying to figure out how big of an opening I need to get the plane out with the engine installed.

7' 10" Outside nut/bracket to outside nut/bracket.

THanks Jeff. When you say outside bracket...is that with the wheel pant bracket installed? Or, is that to the outside edge of the axle nut?

I think my opening is 93", so I am right no the border. Hoping to get it out with the axle nuts on (no bracket).

Yes so deduct 4" for the brackets. 7' 8"

...Van's stated height at the tail of a 7A.

And by coincidence, it's the height from the floor to the top door guide at my hangar!

I know, I know.....I should'a built a tail dragger.
