RV-7 gear dimensions

Anyone have the main gear dimensions for the RV-7? Wondering if they are the same or larger than the RV-6 mains. Also wondering if that is the main reason the -7 has a higher gross wt.
Thanks
Jeff

Alternative wheel kit

I can not answer your question directly.
However I'm planning to use this kit http://www.beringer.fr/cat/catPlaneEn.pdf in place of the Vans wheels and brakes.
Page 9 of the catalog for the Van's kit, and that includes some dimensions for the tires as 5.00-5". The kit is for RV 6, 7 and 8 so I guess the wheels are same dimensions for the 3 models.
Reason for this choice in my airplane: the kit is very well made, lighter and includes a parking brake and anti-skid.
Hope this helps.

I know the RV-6 plans have the main gear leg dimensions, does the RV-7 plans show the same information?
The Beringer wheels look great but here in the US they are priced a bit high!

Thanks
Jeff

If anyone is curious...
Heard from Richard at Langair. The RV-6 and RV-7 taildragger model main gear legs are the same.
