RV-6 vx and vy

My friend bought a RV-6A (O-320, fixed Sensinich (no idea of the pitch)).

His POH has vx and vy listed as 75 and 85 knots. Is this in line with your numbers?

His POH also list best glide with two numbers (80 & 85?). Is this in line? Thanks.

Sounds in the ballpark. My flight testing showed 70 and 90 kts, but I have a more aft CG (tailwheel, light prop.) Might make a difference.

As for the 2 glide speeds- flaps up and flaps down maybe? Both seem a little high? I use 70 kts. Flight testing showed very similar vertical speeds at 70 and 60 kts, which surprised me, but you glide further at 70.

This is one area where, certainly, YMMV.

Cafe Foundation says........

.......best L/D is 105 MPH for the -6, so I'd say that'll be close for the -7.
