RV-6 spins

Hi all, I suppose this has been written about ,probably at length ,but as a newbie I would like some fresh feedback.
A discussion on spinning an RV6 has been through a local forum and some say they're a bit dicey to recover, stories of starting at 9000 and getting her back at 500 are a bit of a concern.
I'm about 3-5 years and 14000 rivets away from having to worry about it but I would appreciate a bit of info ,cheers Mat

Mat,

8500 feet to recover? Maybe from a 28 turn spin?

As you've said, this is well documented. The 6 spins conventionally, but after the first turn it winds up rather tight and the rotation increases quickly. After 2 turns it might take very positive pressure and 180 deg or so to break the spin in recovery, more or less if your technique is sloppier/ better than mine.

I would ask anyone who makes such claims about their actual experience.
