RV-3 top longeron rivets ?

Randy L. suggested using AN3 size on 1" spacing for aesthetics citing later Vans designs do so. Paul and Louise use what appears to be AN3 on a short spacing except under the HS, where AN4 on a wider spacing appears to conform to the plans.
AN3 rivets mathematically provide the same shear strength on 1.23" spacing compared to 2" spacing for AN4 on the plans.. Comments please, I start drilling tomorrow morning.

Yup - we used AN3's on 1" spacing, following Randy's lead. Made for a very nice finish, and Randy pioneered it for us....
