RV-12IS FITMENT ISSUE

I recently bent the tabs on my W-1204D-L and dry fit the wing closure parts prior to priming. I discovered openings where the W-1204D mates with lapping parts, including the areas in between the tabs on the W-1204D (see photo). Van's says these openings are normal, adding that some builders fill them with tank sealer.

ANY 12/12iS BUILDERS DOING THIS AND, IF SO, WHAT PRODUCT/PROCESS ARE YOU USING?

I have not filled them but may when I get closer to painting. Having too much fly flying at this point.
