RV-12 temporary power wiring?

Building a legacy RV-12 and still waiting for my powerplant/firewall forward kit that was supposed to be crated in November. Installed avionics and would like to power it up, play and charge the backup battery. By section 45A it appears that the power comes in by WH-0062 harness to the fuse box module. I assume that ground is through the chassis and it appears that one wire is + and another from the regulator. Anyone know which wire to provide power to energize the systems and if this is a safe approach?

You could check continuity with an ohmmeter between the proposed connection point and the 30 amp fuse.
Triple check to make sure that battery polarity is correct. Others have damaged avionics with reversed polarity.
