RV-12 paint

RV-12 newbie ready to have empennage pieces primed & painted before final assembly. I like the Sherwin Williams wash primer & catalyst remover, followed by Imron polyurethane. Has anyone had good results with this combo? I know there are many choices; is there something better I should consider. Looking for lightweight, smooth, high gloss, durable paint. Bird will be dark maroon & white.

See this thread for a full story about painting in pieces with Imron. In general, my research said to pick one paint and stay with it for both primer and topcoat (i.e. not mix brands).
