RV-12 Cockpit Light Operation

RV12ers:

Can someone explain to me how the cockpit "eyeball" light and the autopilot disconnect light are supposed to operate?

My cockpit light comes on only when the strobe/nav switch is in the strobe/nav position. It does not light in the nav position. The autopilot disconnect switch only nights in the nav position. The cockpit light does properly dim with the Skyview display.

Sound like I have something wired incorrectly.

Ours works the same way. I think ours (AP DISCON) is on with the nav/strobe on as well. I will double check that. we do nt have AP servos installed yet FYI

Thanks for your reply. I understand that the cockit light and autopilot disconnect lights operate with the strob/nav lights but not sure how?
