RV-10 rudder cable travel

Shockwave

Well Known Member
I'm helping a buddy with his -10, and was wondering if anyone with a hooked up rudder can measure the travel in the cable from stop to stop.

Thanks!

Not too sure, but as I recall it is about 2 1/2 one way, and 4 inches the other.

This is at the rudder end.

The pedals move pretty much the same in either direction, the stops are at the rudder, as well as the unequal movement. Motion at the pedal end is capable of being more than the rudder stops will allow.

Hope this makes sense, your question is a bit too general in scope to be easy to answer.

Hi.

Just wondering if you ever got a definite answer on what the cable travel is.
I'm curious about the unequal travel, too - what causes that?

Thanks
