RV-10 engine mount

Hi All,
I just saw a picture of a engine mount for a 10 that has a crossover tube installed on the bottom of the mount. I'm not at the airport to look at mine, but I don't think I have that slightly bent tube. Are we adding that? why?

You'll have to post or link the picture; I'm not sure what you mean.

I "suspect" that it may be from Barrett Precision Engines. That's what I'm installing and with their cold air induction sump you have to cut out a
bar and weld in a more horizontal one to clear the bigger sump. Without a pix this is just a "WAG".

When I get back to the airport I will take a photo..I do suspect it is because of the Barrett engine... Thanks

It may be from an earlier design of the mount, I seem to recall that there was a slight change in that area early on.
