From what I am reading and experienced, many RV-12s are needing a rudder trim tab. I am wondering if there is a trend regarding the trim needed, so have initiated this thread with a poll to identify which side the ball is out initially. RV-12s only, please.

Pretty normal to see a trim tab needed, the -12 is a conservative aircraft and thus leans towards the right. ;)

Any alleged political reference is purely coincidental.

My 2 cents

If you follow the PAP instructions, you can make the plane fly 'straight'. Actually, I think it needs to slightly turn left if by yourself. Then with 2 people, it flies straignt or to the right slightly. That is how I ended up with mine. If you set it up for yourself only, when 2 people, it will not be the same. I'd suggest following the PAP instructions - THEY WORK !

Mine flys straight as an arrow without making any adjustment to the flaperons, BUT, still needed rudder trim.
