Rudder Spar Assembly Hinge Clearances

Hi All,

I am trial fitting the rudder spar to the vertical stab and the directions call for using AN960-10 and/or 10L washers to set the appropriate clearance but do not specify what that is. Should it fit with no vertical play at all? Any suggestions?

Also, in setting the clearances should I tighten the bolt/nut to the appropriate torque setting?

More or less - yes

You don't want it to move up and down. The bearing does the turning, so you can have it tight. The washers are just shims.
