Anyone know what tool to use to install new ball ends on the rudder cables?

Roll Swaging

A roll swaging machine is normally used to do this. It's a relatively expensive specialist tool.

Thanks do you happen to know the name of the little ball ends for the cables. I am trying to get new ones ordered

Those are the ones I ordered but they don’t fit. The shanks are too large even with the correct cable size. I have a call into vans

The shank will reduce in diameter when swaged. The spec is in AC43.13-1B page 7-31 e.g. for 1/8 cable the shank diameter after swaging is 0.219 and before swaging is 0.250.
Is there a big discrepancy between the part you ordered and the existing ball?

Yes way different but I just got off the phone with tech and he found the dwg and it called out those as the part number so off to get them done tomorrow. Thanks
