Rudder cable catches on gear weldment.

This might be a 2 stroke penalty for not searching this site for a similar post, but nevertheless, I'm sharing my solution to, what could be a common issue. The clevis/bolt/nut on my left rudder cable can get caught on a flange of the gear weldment if it goes slack. Not good!
Several friends have suggested adding the idler arms from the rear rudder pedal kit...which seemed like work. Instead I practiced some arthroscopic surgery by installing the bolt inside a "wiffle ball".
I haven't flown with them yet, but they seem to solve the problem.

Almost looks like the cables are going through the wrong holes in the spar. Otherwise the idler arms would be a bit more....lets say "Permanent" then a wiffle ball.
