Rotax oil purge question

Well Known Member
Just added oil to my new 912ULS and am trying to do the purge procedure for the first time. It seemed to work OK except for the oil pressure reading - I'm getting a pressure reading of 60 - 65 psi on the Skyview at something like 20 RPM. I can get it above that pressure if I turn the prop faster. Is that normal?

I've checked the lines and they're hooked up correctly. I get a small amount of oil out of the return line when I'm turning the prop so the oil circuit seems complete. I've got about 10# of pressure into the breather on the oil reservoir and the IN connection on the reservoir is plugged. I can't figure out how to get the end of the normal return line below the engine so I've put a clear plastic tube on the oil fitting at the bottom of the engine in its place.

Your doing just fine. I have seen oil purge pressures any where from 30-60 psi during a purge depending on your prop rpm.

It's normal.
