My hanger mate’s RV-12 ULS just broke its engine mount (cradle that attaches directly to the engine). Vans says about 6 months since priority goes to current builders. Anyone have one they will not be needing for 6 months or so until it could be replaced from Vans?
He is planning to just have it welded so he can keep flying but I think that could be more challenging and less safe then a full replacement. If anyone welded one could you share your experience?
