Rotax 912 15 year overhaul requirement

I have a legacy 2010 RV12 with 600 hours...it's ELSA. I know plenty of people who fly Lycoming/Cont. engines past TBO recommendations, which is considered "on condition" but Rotax wording seems pretty strong on requiring a 15 year overhaul. I'm also wondering what insurance companies would say if you had a claim. I believe Rotax engines that are used in experimental are not "certified engines" if that makes a difference... What's the general consensus of this?

You do NOT need to overhaul or replace your engine, flying under part 91. However, you should replace the rubber components. As for insurance, they will look to see if SBs are complied with and if a missed one was a potential cause.
