Rotating Fuselage stand

billstoeppel

I'm New Here
I am going to start building a RV 7A, and I would like to have a Rotating Fuselage stand. I seen one advertised from Jeff in Round Rock Texas, but he no longer mfg them. Does anyone have one for sale, or any suggestions for one.
Thanks
Bill

airplane builders can build other things too. . .

If you can build an airplane you can build a rotating stand. The engine stand is one way to do it. I built my own stand copied from Jeff's design. It is a simple design and very useful. I know Jeff was selling his but no longer does. I cannot say enough about how good his design is but other designs work well also. Good Luck.

Can you post a photo or a drawing please?

Here are a couple of links to previous threads with some pictures of my stands. These are just two of many threads on the subject. Do a search on "fuselage stand" and you will get a large list of threads to read.

Here is a link to Jeff's website.

He says he is no longer selling this stand but maybe he will be willing to talk to you if you have a desire to build it yourself. I built mine myself just using the pictures I saw on his website. I would suggest if you are interested contact Jeff. Perhaps he has some drawings but I do not think you should need them.

For my stands I had to pay attention to the height of the front and rear stand (the pivot points for the two are not the same height) so that the fuselage would be oriented in the "flight" position while mounted on the stand but otherwise it is a very easy build.

Fuse rotator for free to good home

I don't need my rotating fuse stand anymore. Its free to anyone that can come pick it up. Its drilled to fit RV-6 engine mount holes - I don't know if the RV-7 or 9 has the same dimensions or not. Its in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

I have a wing cradle, too, for that matter.
