I’m building a 10 and am getting close to closing up the wings. My question is, is roll trim a necessity on the 10 or more of a “I’d like to have” item?
I use it all the time (auto trim)I’m building a 10 and am getting close to closing up the wings. My question is, is roll trim a necessity on the 10 or more of a “I’d like to have” item?
It works very well if you use the Garmin servos and the Ray Allen trim. The servos alone will not provide manual trim, but they can all be integrated within the system and connected to either panel switches (sold by Ray Allen) or put on the sticks, which is what we did using the Ray Allen G407 grips. The G3X install manual has wiring diagrams to help you and this website has a wealth of information.I’m planning on using the Garmin G3X. How does it all work together with auto pilot servos and trim. Just a little hazy on all of that.
My two cents: on my -10 I have no aileron trim, but do have a Trio Pro autopilot.I’m building a 10 and am getting close to closing up the wings. My question is, is roll trim a necessity on the 10 or more of a “I’d like to have” item?
The only necessity thing is an engine, prop, seat and fuel. The roll trim is one of those nice thing to have that doesn't cost much and pays many times over to have.I’m building a 10 and am getting close to closing up the wings.
