Riveting Baggage Floors

I am about to rivet the baggage floors and was wondering why Vans has us rivet with LP4-3 blind rivets instead of countersunk blind rivets. It seems the installed floor would be much nicer with flush rivets. Any ideas?

Yeah...a piece of carpet.

The plane is noticeably quieter with a bunch of schtuff loaded into the baggage area. When it's empty, mine got slightly quieter after I added carpet. Makes sense, right? And it hides those rivet heads.

Even so, LP rivet heads are hardly worth worrying about imho. They're pretty Low Profile...

FWIW, here are some dimensions that I tossed together for my rear carpet. Double check the measurements for your custom built airplane. :D
