Rear wing spar doubler holes not matching ribs (15-4)

All,

I need some help and Vans is not answering the phone. I am getting ready to match drill the rear spar and doublers to the ribs and have found that the holes of two of the ribs (where the wing walk is) do not match up with the holes in the doubler or rear spar. The ribs have the four holes, the middle two just do not line up. Is this normal and I just need to drill through the double and create two new holes in the ribs, or are my ribs all screwed up?

I seem to remember having to drill out the holes that you speak of. I think the ribs are all the same but the doublers being on a taper, require the holes at a different location.

That's correct - you end up with a couple of extra holes. I think it just avoids having to manufacture another part number and has no consequence.
