Rear Position and Beacon Lights?

I have been reviewing a 2006 RV-4 for purchase.

One thing that jumped out at me is the absence of a rear position and beacon lights.

I have seen them on other RV-4s and so I would have thought they were part of the plans.
The rudder has a uniform thin edge and doesn't look like there was any concession for a rear position light.
Anyone know of plans for adding a position light to the rudder?

Perhaps this builder used wingtip NAV/Strobes that incorporate a rear light. This was pretty common not long ago and meets the requirements.

No need for a beacon (at least in the US).

The rudder mounted pos and or strobe mounts to the rudder’s bottom fiberglass fairing.
