QUickbuild Wings

I finally got started on my RV-7 QB Wings today.
A notice was in the packing stating that the bolts that hold the fuel tanks to the "Z" brackets may or may not be the correct AN3-4 bolts.

I did a spot check by removing about half of the easy ones to get to and the ones I removed were correct and tight. The screws on the outside periphery were obviously incorrect and need replacing.

Has any one had the incorrect bolts holding the tanks on their spars?

Torque

en,
The note I had was to check the correct TORQUE on the bolts, not the type of bolt.

Pete.

Mine also said to check the torque to ensure that they are tight. I would advise checking them all for tightness.

Mine said the same, which I did and found one QB wing spot on but the other had all the bolts at double the prescribed value !
e-mail to Van's had replacement bolts on the way and they said they would pass on info to Phillipines for QC - this was all 2 yrs ago however.
